Welcome to My New Christianity Blog

The Lord is calling His people back to His Word

The end of the age is at hand and the Rapture is near… The 3 measures of Leaven have almost leavened the whole lump. Deception has entered into the church and another Jesus is being preached, it has another spirit and a gospel that is not based on the faith that was once deliver to the saints…

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

The Freedom of Grace

The yoke of slaver is the law. As a born again Spirit filled believer, please do not allow yourself to become a slave to it. You will see in your walk with the Lord how Christians and Christian leaders much of the time lose sight of this very point. We were not created to adhere to the law, but to experience the freedom that Christ won for us upon the Cross at Calvary. We are called into a relationship to freely react to God’s initiations to our hearts and minds that we may respond to each situation in God’s love, according to our own unique personality. If we only had a standardized legal requirement to perform in every situation, then why would we need a living relationship with God?

It is our own religious precepts, or those of our leaders who will at times lead us back into slavery to the law, even though Jesus has set us free from the law. Religiosity can keep you busy with a bunch of do’s and don’t, but relationship is all about finding intimacy and oneness. Seeking for that oneness is our only true goal. This does not mean we are to use are new found freedom for selfish purposes. This freedom really give us the opportunity to become who God has ordain us to be and to go where He has destined us go. Performing the work we are equipped to perform. So, in that day we too may hear, well done my good and faithful servant. The Apostle Paul says in 1st Cor. 10:15a, “But by the grace of God I am what I am:”, It was God’s grace-God’s activity in Paul’s life to bring about His purposes and plans-that formed Paul into the great Apostle that he was. He contended for the faith, the gospel of the grace of God in Christ Jesus. That we too, may be free from the law, our own religious rules and the religious laws other try to place on us. That we may be free to serve the Lord in Spirit and in truth.

Submit to the will of God.

I’m just gonna flow on this one… You don’t need a breakthrough to do the will of God in your life. All you have to do is submit to the will – God gracious design – for your life. Then Grace – God’s activity in your life to bring about His purpose and plan – will lead you into the manifestation of the very thing He has called for in your life. Remember, it is not by your might, or your power that things get done, They are accomplished by the Spirit of the Living God. So If your having a hard time achieving what God has called for in your life. You don’t need a breakthrough, you need to submit to… the will of God… If not, then God’s grace – His activity in your life to bring about His purpose and plan – is in vain. Which means that while His power is working to do one thing, your self-will and determination is trying to do another…

Who Sits on the Throne of your Heart

QUICK TEACHING MOMENT… Isaiah 6:1, says ‘In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.’ When the natural king died Uzziah, then Isaiah saw the king of kings. Case and point, some saved folks can’t see God for themselves because they have placed man/woman on the throne over their lives/hearts. Whether its the pastor, Apostle, Bishop, Prophet, ect. Many Christians have exalted leadership so high and have given Christian leaders so much authority in and over their spiritual life. What usually happens is the people, who are suppose to have a personal relationship with the Lord, need the Pastor, Apostle, Bishop, Prophet to interpret what God wants and what He is saying, even who they are in Christ. Another reason saved folk can’t see God for themselves it because if they have not put the Pastor, Apostle, Bishop, Prophet on the throne of their lives/hearts then they themselves are still sitting on the throne of their lives. Yes, Jesus is their Savior, but it is the self-life…i.e… The soul that rules the life of carnal Christians, the mind, senses, emotions and the desires of the heart drives there behaviors. Understand, sin is not in view here, it is the un-sanctified soul that sits upon the throne and it’s the soul-life that determines the decision making process in their lives. Paul called these types of Christians Carnal….

The Blue Print to Spiritual Growth

QUICK TEACHING MOMENT: John 15:1-11 Provides God’s us with a divine blue print for spiritual growth. Lets take a look at a few verses… After establishing the divine order of God being the Husbandman and Jesus being the Vine with the believer as the branch(s) “… every branch that bears fruit He prunes it”, (John 15:2b) As a new beginner walks with the Lord they begin to bare fruit in their lives. However, as one grows in the Lord they can become self righteous, self-centered, prideful ect. So, through the Holy Spirit begins to deal with these issues through the purging process. Believers often are confused by this process. One starts off doing well in God, then the purging begins and the believer can feel that they have done something wrong and can become discourage. It’s just God dealing with the issues that have grown along with the fruit that are not profitable in their lives and they are being purged away). So, that it may bear more fruit. In Verse 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, ( Abiding means that the believers Spiritual life source comes from the Holy Spirit. All that we are and everything that we do is empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit leads us into all truth, gives us directions and revelation. So as one continue to respond to God’s initiations to the hearts and minds.) Verse 5,b “He bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing”. (So we see that as a result of the purging process one bares more fruit, and as one continues to abide in The Lord after the purging process one bares much fruit. Verse7“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you..( Here is what is important to know about this verse, “My Words” is not talking about the Logos, or the written word. Often believers see the this verse and think that if they know the Word of God …i.e…the Bible, then they can), ask whatever you wish, . (the My “Words” in this verse, in the original Greek text is Rehema. Which is that on time, in that moment type of word. Or what is God saying in that moment for that situation. and if you can discern God’s will through the Holy Spirit. then ask and it will be done for you… (This comes with a level of maturity, and as a result) In verse 8, “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.

The Soul life must go to the cross

QUICK TEACHING MOMENT: In Mathew 16:21, Jesus began to introduce to the 12 that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things, be crucified and rise on the the third day. So after hearing this Peter pulled Jesus to the side and told him that couldn’t happen to Him. Jesus responded by saying, “unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offense unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men”. (matt 16:21) It is here where I want us to focus,,, Peter didn’t want Jesus to die because Peter had his own ideas about the plan of God. See Peter knew that Jesus was the Messiah and that the Messiah would restore the Kingdom of Israel, so how could Jesus be talking about dying? In Peter’s mind this just couldn’t happen. Jesus was the Son of David, the warrior king, surely Jesus, the Son of the warrior King would lead the revolution to overthrow the Romans… This was peters thinking and he had the law and the Prophets to back him up… Many of us are just like Peter. We have our own ideas on how God is going to do things. We even go as far as creating a God that fits into our plans and purposes instead of us fitting into His plan and purposes. We can even use scripture to make God fit into our understanding of who He is… Back to Peter, he had his own agenda, not only did he want the kingdom to be restored, Peter wanted a exulted position in the kingdom also… We too are looking for God to move, because we think when he does our own agendas will be benefited. We often are serving God that He may bless us in our situations. Thinking that we can live or get to live out best life right now… Our Lord knows we have the propensity to be selfish, and self-centered. in other words the self/soul wants what the self/soul wants. Although the Spirit of the believer is born again, the soul isn’t and it must too be saved. (James1:21b; 1st peter1:9) So, after Jesus puts Peter in his place in Matt 16 verse23, He turns to the disciples, “24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me”. (Jesus is dealing with the self/soul life here. How the self/soul life must be denied and placed upon the cross.) 25, “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. (This is called the exchanged life. you exchange your will for God’s will.) 26, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (you can live your best life and still lose you soul) or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works”. The last verse (27) ties this all together… When Jesus comes back He will reward everyone according to what we have done in our saved lives. If we have lived for ourselves by going after all our soul desired, lived our best life, or did we deny our souls, and carried our cross that we may serve the Lord…

NOTE: this passage is not about the salvation of the spirit. 95% of the time this passage is taught with salvation in view. this passage is about a future salvation, the salvation of the soul…

The Anointing

I want to just flow on this one and talk about the anointing. All born again believers are anointed at varying degrees in order to walk in their gifts, and fulfill the callings, purposes and plans of God in the individuals life. What I want to focus on here is how God, though the Holy Spirit produces the Anointing in ones life. First lets take a look at the olive, The oil that was used to anoint various people and objects was drawn from the olive. Anywhere in the Bible you read about an olive or olive branch or olive oil it is dealing with the anointing. For instance, Jesus gave His greatest sermon on mount Olivet, or the mount of olives. When Jesus comes back to set up the millennial Kingdom He is descending upon the mount of olives. So the olive is a symbol of the anointing. How the oil was execrated out of the olive was by putting a group of olives in what is called an olive press. Branches were used with leaves on the end of the branches the olives were beaten with the branches till they welted up and began to bleed out the oil. This is what the Bible calls the pure beaten oil. Again the anointing oil would be poured over the person or object separating them unto the service of the Lord. We to have the anointing on the inside of us and its the same process used by the Holy Spirit to bring the anointing forth in ones life. So when one goes through hardships, difficulties, disappointments, let downs. When everyone looks like their getting blessed, but you. When your serving in the church and your lights are getting ready to get turned off, Your about to loose your job and there is no one to help. People in the church may think that you got some kind of secret sin in your life. they are talking about you. Yet, through all this ,if you are able to stand and say, “tho He slay me, yet I will still serve Him…”. Then one day God causes a situation and you rise up and open your mouth and the anointing falls, and everyone opens up their mouth in disbelief, or God causes you to put your hand to something that everyone else has failed at but when you do it it’s a success. The Bible says, “7 But we have this treasure (anointing) in earthen vessels (our bodies), that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you. @Cor 4:7-11 All that Paul went and the other Apostles went through was the price they paid for the anointing to flow through their lives. Although they suffered greatly those that received their ministry were blessed. So there is a price to pay for the anointing are you willing to pay it…3

The Heavenly and Earthly Kingdom of Christ

The Kingdom of Christ has two segments one earthly and the other heavenly. The earthly segment of the Kingdom has been covenanted to Israel through the unconditional covenant God made with King David, (2nd Sam.7:4-16, Isa. 9:6,7, Eze 34:23; 37:24) David was promised by the Lord God that there will always be a kingdom, a throne, and one of his son’s would always sit on the throne. With God himself reserving the right to chasten any of Davids son who were rebellious towards the Lord God when they sat on the throne. The fulfillment of this promise to David would come when the son of David, Christ the Messiah, sat on the throne in the restored Temple in Jerusalem. Which would be the capital of the world with Christ ruling over the gentile nations during the 1000yr reign of Christ with David being by his side as His prince. And the gentile nations will be blessed through Israel.

When John the baptist came on the scene preaching, “repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand”. John was offering the Heavenly Segment of the Kingdom to the nation of Israel at that time. Later Jesus would also begin to make the offer of the heavenly kingdom to the Jews and He would eventually send out the 12, then later, the seventy to proclaim the same offer. (Matt 2:2 Matt 4:17) However, Israel through it’s leaders rejected the Kingdom of the heavens and would go on to kill the King that was making them the offer. In Matt 12:24-32 The Spiritual leaders determined that Jesus was casting out demons by the power of Beelzebub. Jesus told that leadership that the sin a blaspheme against the Holy Spirit would not be forgiven them in this world (age) or the next world (age). Although it is here the offer of the Kingdom was taken away, the official announcement of it does not take place till, Matt 21:43. It was here where Jesus informs the nation of Israel, “Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof”. We are that nation, the called out ones, the new man in Christ Jesus. The Church, has been called into existence for a purpose. The Apostle Peter says it this way, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;”. (1 Peter2:9) Israel rejected the Kingdom of the Heavens and the mystery of God in Christ Jesus was called into existence. “for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:”. (Eph 2:15b,16)

The one new man, being the heavenly seed of Abraham is positioned ‘In Christ”, co-heirs according to the heavenly promise, not earthly. (Gal 3:29) The work of the Holy Spirit throughout this dispensation revolves around redeemed man who is the new creation taken from the Jew and gentile for the purpose to bring forth fruit (present) with a view of occupying a position as co-heirs with Christ in the Kingdom of the heavens (future).

They have Changed the Gospel…

Today the poor and oppressed of the world would find the gospel of Jesus Christ and the message of the Kingdom really good news. However, today the good news of the Christian faith does not look anything like the gospel that once turned the world upside down. If you listen closely one would see the content of the message that Jesus, the 12 and later the Apostle Paul taught has changed. Today the image of Christianity in America that comes across the pulpits and airwaves is a religion for those at the top, or those whose ambition wants to ascend the social economic ladder. American Christianity is not designed for those at the bottom of this world (kosmos) system and it has no resemblance to the original good news.

Eighteenth century English preachers and 19th century American evangelist always linked revivalism to social change and proclaimed the good news to the poor, the captives and the oppressed. Today when the gospel is preached to those of the lower socioeconomic stratum what is always in view is the goal of them climbing the ladders of social and economic success. Christianity today has come to identify thoroughly with the mainstream values of wealth and power. As the nation became rich and fat so did the Christians who replaced the message of the Kingdom of God with a gospel of social responsibility and piety that comfortably supports the capitalistic statues quo. Today Christianity is not a true friend of the poor. Instead Christians give preference for the successful and the prosperous who see wealth as a sign of God’s blessing and favor. Thanks to what is called Christian psychology, and other humanistic teachings which have found their way into the Body of Christ. We now have believers who are well adjusted to this world and it’s ways of doing things. Christians who are suppose to be strangers and pilgrims passing through this world. Now because the message of the Kingdom is no longer preached Christians seek the world and all of the benefits it offers. All the while possessing a veneer of religious behavior and churchianity language. Christianity has been reduced to a bunch of slogans and sayings resulting in low biblical I.Q. Christians. Instead of being taught basic Bible doctrine the people of God are feed a fast food diet of carnal preaching that appeals to the various lust of the flesh. Jesus said, ” You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you: 8‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. 9They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men”.(Matt 15:8,9) In another place the Lord said, ” But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also…” Today Christians treasure their homes, cars, clothes, bank accounts, their business’ careers, degrees and other accomplishments. Christians today are just like Israel of the old testament, who never stopped worshiping Jehovah God, they just incorporated the worship of Jehovah with the worship of other gods. Which are the same Gods that the unsaved worship. Honestly Christians want to serve the Lord but they want the world and the good life also. With no strength to resist the outside culture the church has fallen into idolatry. But what does it profit a man/woman to gain the whole world but loose his/her soul?

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
